The Best Reviews, list, tips and blogs

Asus laptops are not only powerful in terms of performance and design, but they are also more affordable than their competitors, making them a better choice for people who do not care so much about the name. The brand name can be as crucial as the advertised technical specifications when buying a new laptop computer.

The best Asus laptops are not limited to high performance. They are also as stylish as HP’s premium notebooks and as rugged as Apple’s offerings. This puts them at the top of the laptop market. With new and outstanding offerings such as the ROG Zephyrus series, Asus is quickly gaining a reputation equal to that of Dell. With its ever-growing list of excellent laptops, Asus ensures that consumers have more options that offer good value for money.

Asus laptops are not only powerful in terms of performance and design, but they are also more affordable than their competitors, making them a better choice for people who do not care so much about the name. The brand name can be as crucial as the advertised technical specifications when buying a new laptop computer. Of course, you can search for and choose the best laptops, but we all have preferences. Many of the best and most popular laptops come from companies such as HP or Lenovo Laptops, but you may prefer Asus. If this is the case for you, you are in the right place.

Since an Asus laptop is not for everyone, we have made sure that there is a wide range of laptops to choose from. They range from the timeless laptop for gaming, the dual-screen laptop ideal for design work, to the standard Ultrabook for everyday use. For these Asus candidates, as with laptop tests in general, we focused on the features people value. These include the screen’s appearance, the processor’s adequacy for gaming or everyday work, and good battery life to get through a day’s work. Below we have listed the best Asus laptops for gaming.

The Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 comes in the form of a tweed-bound diary. Lifting the lid, however, opens up a versatile 2-in-1 laptop that includes a stylus in case you want to keep a journal. Although the Detachable CM3 is not the most powerful Chromebook, its brilliant display and convenient form factor make it an excellent device for content consumption and web browsing that can easily be kept in your pocket.

Although it is expensive to have a MediaTek processor inside, the CM3 makes up for it with nearly 12 hours of battery life and a durable body. The Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 is offered in two configurations: the base model costs $329 and includes a MediaTek MTK 8183 processor, integrated graphics, 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 64 GB of flash memory, and a 1920 x 1200 pixel touchscreen.

The premium laptop format, versatile 16-inch 16:10 display, and robust technical specifications for this segment are the main strengths of the Zephyrus M16 series, especially with the move to 12th generation Intel hardware and the more powerful RTX 3000Ti GPU aided by a MUX.

Battery life is still not extraordinary with Intel Alder Lake. However, it has improved since the 2021 generation, and potential buyers still have to accept this series’s quirky IO and thermal design, plus the fact that many configurations are still only available with 16 GB of dual-channel memory, with no real option for 32 GB.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 has a relatively clean design. It has a specific gamer aesthetic, such as the shape of the power button and speaker grilles. Still, it doesn’t overdo it, so you can use it in a professional work environment without standing out too much. It features a perforated lid that lets LED lights shine through, which ASUS calls AniME Matrix and which you can customize to show what you want.

If you prefer, you can choose a model without an AniME Matrix. Vents on both sides of the laptop, the back and bottom. The screen raises the back of the laptop when opened, providing a slight keyboard tilt and allowing better airflow at the bottom. It is available in two colors: Moonlight White and Eclipse Gray.

The ProArt StudioBook 15 is a more conservative example of what creatives at Asus can accomplish, but it serves its purpose as a stylish workhorse for content creators. The StudioBook has some chic touches, starting with the distinctive brushed metal finish on the lid. It is always worth noting the color of Asus laptops, in this case, gunmetal gray with hints of purple in certain lighting conditions.

Also on the lid is an Asus logo with a pen reflection. A trapezoidal cutout on the lid’s underside frames three LED indicators on the laptop panel. These show battery status, Wi-Fi connection, and power status. Immediately below are diagonal slots to improve airflow and four separate keys above the keyboard. The chassis features sharp lines and aggressive angles, giving the ProArt a sleek, modern look.

The Asus ROG Flow X13 has an understated design and, unlike its larger siblings, does not feature the rugged ROG badge but a small metal nameplate with the brand name engraved on the bottom edge of the lid. The proprietary Gravity Wave motif stands out on the magnesium alloy chassis. The ROG Flow X13 has a small footprint compared to other ROG laptops. The 2.1-inch ultraportable laptop is compact and features 360-degree hinges that allow the display to be used in tablet mode.

Exhaust vents are located next to the hinges and one on the right edge. Asus left the ROG 2-in-1 laptop with limited options when it comes to ports. The HDMI port, 3.5 mm audio jack, and ROG XG Mobile interface are side-by-side on the left. There are three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB-A, and two USB-C ports for DisplayPort and power. The power button is flush with the chassis on the right edge, with an M.2 SSD connector next to it.

The Asus ExpertBook B9450 is a super-portable laptop computer that weighs only 1.91 pounds. This makes it the lightest 14-inch commercial laptop, an attractive feature. But its superpower is its incredible battery life, which reached 30 hours in our video playback test, a new record for PC Labs. In addition to these two features, the laptop has as much as 2 TB of SSD storage, a comfortably angled keyboard, and more ports than one would expect.

The material used for the chassis, a magnesium-lithium alloy, contributes significantly to the ExpertBook’s light weight. The material is of superior quality, certainly better than plastic, but much lighter than typical metals used in most mainstream ultraportables. The entire chassis is finished in an attractive navy blue with some gleaming metallic flecks, adding some style to a business laptop.

The design of the Asus ZenBook 13 is one of its main features. With a thickness of only 0.55 inches and a weight of 1.14 kg, this is a genuinely lightweight Ultrabook. One thing that helps is that the keyboard lifts toward the user when the screen is fully extended, making typing more comfortable than it would be otherwise.

The aluminum chassis has a sleek brushed metal design on the lid that radiates from the Asus logo imprinted off-center on the front. It is by no means a work of art, but there is no shame in publicly showing it off. The edge-to-edge keyboard was comfortable, but we typed for work. We can say that some may find the critical layout too cramped, and the trackpad is not as responsive or comfortable as that on the XPS 13.

The Asus VivoBook Flip 14 is a somewhat odd model in the VivoBook range. It is a premium offering in a range of understated-looking home and office laptops. It is the flagship laptop of the VivoBook brand. Asus has several Flip models in its range, but the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 is the cheapest Windows model.

The design is 2-in-1, meaning a touchscreen and 360-degree hinge that “folds” the screen so it can be used in tablet mode. Now revamped with AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors, the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 offers even more performance in the same thin and light body, making it a genuinely snappy little machine. Asus has not changed the formula, keeping the same design and improving only the interior. It looks good, works well, and promises incredible value for money on paper.

The Asus ZenBook Duo scores big in terms of design. Because the laptop has a pair of displays, it is pretty light, but not so light that it can be carried in a backpack or a sling over the shoulder for hours. The overall structure is sturdy, with the dark blue magnesium alloy outer cover giving it a stealthy look. Asus has changed nothing in terms of looks. The concentric circular pattern and Asus logo are still on the top, although smudges and fingerprints remain and are not easy to remove.

Under the lid are two displays: the main one is now a 14-inch Full HD panel, while the secondary one is a 12.6-inch IPS panel. Both displays are touch-sensitive. The laptop has a new standard hinge system that controls both the primary and secondary displays, raising the latter by 7 degrees. The first-generation ZenBook Duo had a fixed secondary display. Still, this one, inspired by the Zephyrus Duo, rises slightly above the base, giving the user slightly better visibility without further straining the neck.

The Asus Vivobook Go 15 laptop is designed to help you be productive all day, even on the go. This lightweight, an ultra-thin 15-inch laptop is powered by the latest Intel processor and offers long battery life. It also features a sophisticated 180-degree lay-flat hinge that makes it easy to share content or collaborate with friends. This Asus laptop also allows you to leave the heavy AC adapter at home, thanks to its all-day battery life that gives you the flexibility to work or play anywhere.

Plus, with a fanless design that keeps noise levels low, you won’t be distracted when working on a spreadsheet or watching a movie on your Asus Vivobook Go. It is the best Windows laptop for travel. Actual USB 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and/or Type-C transfer speeds depend on many factors, including the processing speed of the host device, file attributes, and other factors related to system configuration and operating environment.
