SC Soft, an Aurionpro subsidiary, has been awarded a project by the Department of General Services (DGS) to participate in the California Integrated Travel Project (Cal-ITP) for the supply and installation of the Fare Collection Devices and Automated Fare Collection (AFC) Back office. SC Soft is one of the three firms chosen to provide the Payment Acceptance Devices in the Cal-ITP, which will allow more than 300+ transit agencies to procure software solutions through its Mobility Marketplace which offers transit operators links to a suite of code-compliant products. This simplified and coordinated procurement process makes it easier for transit agencies to adopt open-loop technologies. Mr. Paresh Zaveri CMD, Aurionpro, congratulated the team and said that "we are excited with this win. This is a multi-year, multi-million-dollar opportunity for SC Soft in California market and will further expand its footprint in the North American markets. This win will squarely put SC Soft amongst the leading global players in open loop transit space". SC SOFT has been awarded a master agreement by the Department of General Services (DGS) to participate in the California Integrated Travel Project (Cal-ITP), strengthening the firms position into the U.S. Automated Fare Collection market. SC Soft (an Aurionpro company), is a leading provider of Automatic fare collection technology for Public Transport Operators, System Integrators, Banks, and Payment Companies. For the past 10 years, the management has focused on delivering innovative solutions to create value and efficiency for its customers and likewise its co-workers. SC Soft is specialised in offering Open Loop / Closed Ticketing Solutions, Common Mobility Platform, Supporting and Upgrading Legacy Closed Loop Systems, and has always been one of the very few early providers to implement QR Code and Account Based Ticketing System. "SC SOFT brings the required pedigree, customization and robust product," said Sanjay Bali, SC SOFT CEO & Director. "We have the ability to manufacture EMV contactless devices which are Buy America certified and we have the Backoffice solution for fare calculation to connect to the empanelled and awardedProcessing service providers. In the current scenario for global chip shortage, we are riding the wave by dedicated manufacturing facilities and inhouse R&D team to deliver our products and ramp up our manufacturing capabilities." The California Department of General Services issued a Notice of Intent to Award to SC SOFT and the MSA has been executed. SC SOFT is one of three firms chosen to provide the Payment Acceptance devicesin the Cal-ITP, which will allow more than 300+ transit agencies to procure software solutions through its Mobility Marketplace, which offers transit operators links to a suite of code-compliant products. This simplified and coordinated procurement process makes it easier for transit agencies to adopt open-loop technologies. Riding transit should be as easy as buying a cup of coffee: Regardless of what customers order or where the coffee shop is, they know they can instantly pay by tapping their contactless bank card or smart device. But most California transit providers only accept regional fare cards or cash in exact change. These legacy fare systems are expensive to maintain and create barriers for new riders. It's time for California to tap into the future of fare payment. Nearly 75% of Californians have access to a contactless credit/debit card, and most have a smart device as well. Travelers will be more likely to choose transit if they can use what's already in their pocket to pay for it-just like they pay for coffee.
