ASRock Industrial has released the iEPF-9010S and iEP-9010E high-end, rugged Edge AIoT platforms powered by 12th Gen Intel Alder Lake S processors, equipped with up to 128GB RAM, 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and real-time TSN/TCC networking.

The I/O rich embedded computers are designed for highly demanding workloads and mission-critical industrial applications such as factory automation, machine automation, robotic control, AI-enabled AOI (automated optical inspection), autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and more.

The ASRock iEPF-9010S Expandable AIoT Edge platforms come with the following specifications:

ASRock iEP-9010E Compact Edge AIoT platforms specifications:

Both Edge AIoT platforms can run Windows 10 & Linux operating systems. It’s not the first time we write about rugged computers powered by Alder Lake S IoT processors, but ASRock platforms offer even more connectivity and I/Os than the OnLogic Karbon 800 series.

ASRock Industrial does not provide pricing information for the systems, but for reference, the high-end OnLogic Karbon 804 rugged computer with ModBay & PCIe slots starts at $2,210 with a 35W Intel Core i3-12100TE quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, a 64 M.2 SATA drive, so I’d expect the iEPF-9010S and iEP-9010E to start at a few thousand dollars, and go well beyond $10,000 for a fully loaded system. More information may be found on the product page and press release.
